Membership Categories

LVDL currently has two categories of membership, Members and Associate Members.

Members:

A Member must be a lawyer in good standing, licensed to practice law in the State of Nevada, who practices primarily civil defense. As a general guideline, a candidate for membership should practice at least 75% civil defense, or devote 75% of his or her professional time to a defense practice which includes subrogation work. 

A candidate for membership must be sponsored by a Member and admission must be approved by a 2/3 vote of the Directors. Members must pay annual dues on or before February 1 of each year.  Currently Member dues are $200 per year.

Members must sign a Confidentiality Pledge that nothing learned, discussed or obtained from LVDL will be transmitted or shared with outside individuals or organizations, including plaintiff's bar. Exceptions may be made only with prior approval by majority vote of the Directors. 

Join As A Regular Members

Associate Members:

Associate Membership is open to non-attorneys, paralegals, claims adjusters and other claims professionals.

Candidates for associate membership must be sponsored by a Member and admission must be approved by a 2/3 vote of the Directors.  Associate Members must pay annual dues.  Annual associate membership dues are payable on or before the 1st day of February of each year.

Associate Members must sign a Confidentiality Pledge that nothing learned, discussed or obtained from LVDL will be transmitted or shared with outside individuals or organizations, including plaintiff's bar.  Exceptions may be made only with prior approval by majority vote of the Directors.  Currently, Association Member dues are $175 per year.

Associate Members may not seek or obtain personal financial gain from LVDL without full disclosure and prior approval by a 2/3 vote of the Directors.
